Food products in Pakistan are of numerous kinds but basically divided into Haram and Halal on the behalf of ingredients. As per the division according to the segmentation of the days, food products are divided in breakfast, lunch and lastly dinner. At evening, they prefer to take tea along with snacks. These food products in Pakistan are qualified as per the traditions.
As Pakistan is an Islamic state, the meals are divided in sehri and aftari in the month of Ramadan. Our culture is rich in every aspect, whether its clothing, recreational areas, events or food products, Pakistan is colorful and rich with everything.
In breakfast, people normally eat bread, roti, eggs, parathas, tea, lassi, qeema, seasonal fruits, honey, milk, butter, nuts. They take any of these in combination. There is versatility in food products in Pakistan taken in breakfast. At times, baked food items are also taken while special items are planned for weekends such as naan channay, halwa poori and similar. Numerous other food products are eaten throughout the country according to the setup and traditions. Stunning colors, taste and aroma are available from the city of sea to the city of mountains.
As per the time of lunch, lentils, meat curries, aloo gosht and other vegetables. Food products like chicken qorma or karahi are also consumed at lunch time. People living near rivers prefer fish in these hours.
Food products in Pakistan consumed in these hours are pretty heavy. As the entire family is supposed to gather so special food items are prepared. Food products like kofte, kebabs, korma, qeema, pulao and similar are the food items along with appetizers like pickle, raita or salad are specially prepared for dinnertime. After meal dishes like desserts are prepared like kheer, gajraila, fruits salads or any other sweet dishes, either eastern or western.
